How do you stay focused on your business without getting distracted?
Well, this is a question that I ask myself everyday. How can I stay on track with so many things to do?
This week, I came up with 4 different strategies that I have been using to help me to stay focus on my business to have free time to take care of me.
- Write a To Do list
Try writing your to do list just before going to bed so that you will know what you will need to focus on for the next day. Sometimes, I will bring along my “to do” list with me on the road so that I can cross off each activity as I complete them.
- Avoid long phone conversations during your business hours. (If you don’t have a set time to do business, now is a good time to schedule it).
You may not realize it, but spending time on the phone for more than 20 minutes can hurt your business. Ask yourself if the call is productive or unproductive.
- Be excited about your business.
When you are excited about your product or service, others will know it and begin to ask you more about your business which will naturally keep you focused on it.
- Focus on one project at time. (Challenging for most, but doable).
Finding quality people to help you is a good way to stay on task. Delegating some of your responsibilities to others can save you lots of time in growing your business rather than managing it. If you have small children, ask a friend or a family member to help out by watching the “little ones” for a few hours while you focus on your business.
